Hello, I’m Salvo

Observe, don’t stage.

Some moments can’t be prepared. They just happen. I don’t create them – I recognise them.

I was born in Sicily in 1990 and I’ve been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. In 2011 photography became my job: I started as an assistant, learning in the field and watching a lot before I even pressed the shutter.

What interests me is what happens between people, more than what meets the eye. The small things: a look that lasts a moment longer, a hand reaching for another, a moment nobody notices – but that says everything.

I work best with couples who don’t love being the centre of attention, and who want to live their wedding day without feeling they’re in the middle of a photo shoot.

How I work

No staging, no forced poses.

A documentary approach. I move discreetly, blend in and tell your day as it unfolds, from the preparations to the party. A word of advice when it helps, space when you need it.

Always two photographers. A trusted second photographer works alongside me at every wedding, so no moment and no point of view gets lost.

Anywhere in Sicily. I’m based in Agrigento and I love travelling for weddings: every new place, tradition and culture becomes part of your story.

Your photos online. Your images are delivered in an online gallery you can open from any device, share with whoever you like, download in high resolution and print. Handmade albums, crafted by specialised companies, are also available.

Photography only. I focus entirely on photography, and I’m happy to recommend videographers whose style matches mine.
